NookTERMS OF USE — NOOK
By downloading or using Nook you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
Nook is meant for people aged 13 and over. If you are under the age at which you can agree to these terms where you live, a parent or guardian needs to accept them for you.
1. LICENCE
The app is licensed, not sold. Because you obtained Nook from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service apply; the terms on this page apply in addition to them.
Quantix Studio grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Nook on Android devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use.
2. WHAT NOOK DOES ON YOUR DEVICE
Nook designs widgets and asks your launcher — the app that draws your home screen — to place them. Some of this is decided by your phone, not by us:
- One-tap placement works where the launcher supports Android's pin-widget request. Where it does not, Nook shows you how to add the widget by hand.
- Lock-screen widgets appear only on devices and Android versions that offer them.
- Some manufacturers stop apps in the background to save battery, which can delay a widget's refresh. Nook never polls; it refreshes on the system's date and time events and on the schedule you choose for slideshows.
- What a font, colour or shape looks like can vary slightly between screens.
Launcher and device limitations of this kind are not a defect in the app. Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy.
3. YOUR CONTENT
Your photos and your words remain yours. Nook uses them only to draw your widgets on your phone and never uploads them. You are responsible for having the right to use the photos and text you put in a widget, and for what you share when you export your home screen.
The styles, packs, fonts, illustrations and the app itself belong to Quantix Studio or its licensors. The fonts are used under the SIL Open Font License. You may share screenshots and exports of your own home screen freely.
4. NOOK PREMIUM
- Nook works without paying. The free version includes the photo, clock and calendar widgets in every style, the basic countdown styles, two free styles of every other widget type, three complete packs, and up to three widgets on your home screen at once.
- Nook Premium unlocks every pack, unlimited widgets, photo slideshows, the whole font library, the extra countdown styles and exports without the Nook mark.
- Premium is offered as an auto-renewing subscription — weekly, monthly or yearly — and as a one-time lifetime purchase that does not renew. The monthly and yearly plans may start with a free trial for people who have not had one; whether a trial applies to you is shown before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Google Play account when you confirm the purchase. After any free trial ends, the subscription renews automatically at the current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period.
- Manage or cancel the subscription in Play Store → your profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions, or from Manage subscription in Nook's Settings. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
- Prices are shown in the app for your region and may change; if a price rises, Google asks for your consent before charging it.
- Purchases restore on your other devices with Restore purchase in the app, as long as you use the same Google account.
- If Premium ends, widgets already on your home screen keep working as they are. Only editing premium features inside the app is locked again.
- No advertising. Nook has never carried ads and will not.
5. ACCEPTABLE USE
Do not reverse-engineer the app, do not attempt to defeat or bypass its security or its licence checks, do not redistribute its styles, packs or artwork as your own, and do not use it unlawfully.
6. YOUR DATA
Nook has no accounts and no sign-in. Your designs, photos and words stay on your device — the detail is in the Privacy Policy at https://nook.quantix.studio/privacy. Deleting the app deletes them; Android's backup may keep a copy in your own Google account.
7. NO WARRANTY AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The app is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Quantix Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including the loss of designs or photos stored in it.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live are not affected.
8. CHANGES
We may update these terms; the current version always sits at https://nook.quantix.studio/terms with its date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
9. GOVERNING LAW AND CONTACT
